Platform
What data sources does Helixoy connect to?
Cloud data warehouses, relational databases, data lakes, spreadsheets and CSV files, as well as REST APIs. Connections are managed centrally and shared with the permissions you set.
Do I need to know SQL?
No. The visual explorer works on governed metrics defined by your data team, and natural-language search helps you find and build views. SQL and notebooks are there when you want them.
How does version control work for dashboards?
Every published change creates a new version. You can compare versions, see who changed what, and roll back instantly. Comments and approvals stay attached to the version they refer to.
Can I embed dashboards in other tools?
Yes. Dashboards and individual charts can be embedded in portals and internal tools, with row-level security applied to the viewing user.
Deployment
Where is Helixoy hosted?
By default in the EU on a major public cloud, with additional regions available. Enterprise customers can also run Helixoy self-hosted in their own environment.
What happens if a cloud region goes down?
Helixoy's distributed architecture fails over automatically. The platform is designed to keep serving without interruption through the loss of an entire region.
Security
How is access controlled?
Through role-based access control with row- and column-level policies, applied consistently across analysis, dashboards, applications, embeds and APIs. See the security page for details.
Is Helixoy GDPR compliant?
Helixoy is designed to support customers' GDPR obligations, with EU hosting, data-processing agreements and controls for retention, export and access. See our privacy policy.
